Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with good organization skills to work with a development focused Scrum team.  As the Scrum Master, the individual will help drive on-going project work for our financial services client. This is a mature Agile organization. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of software development experience following the Agile process with at least two years’ experience as a Scrum Master.

This is a long term contract opportunity. We will accept corp to corp or w2 contractors. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the Scrum Master:

  • Act as the servant-leader of a scrum team, facilitating Agile software development processes to maximize team outcome
  • Conduct all Scrum ceremonies, such as backlog grooming, release planning, sprint planning, sprint retrospectives and demo
  • Foster the spirit of autonomy and promote self-organization of the scrum team
  • Participate in Scrum of Scrums and share experiences and best practices with other Scrum Masters
  • Develop and maintain a central scorecard to track dependencies and progress of individual projects 

Requirements of the Scrum Master:

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Demonstrable understanding of the Scrum development process
  • Experience as a hands-on Scrum Master
  • Fast learner and a great team player
  • Comfortable acting as a servant-leader and influencing across scrum teams
  • Self-motivated and driven with a strong client focus and results-oriented approach
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with the technical team
