Our Fortune 500 Media Client’s Streaming Group is looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Content Systems & Services team.  The Senior Product Manager will work on the CMS Output team and own the new Content Delivery Platform, which will provide content metadata to our partners, including Google, Freewheel, Apple, Amazon, and Roku.

The position requires broad experience in content delivery, including feeds and APIs, with the ability to collaborate with global matrixed teams to deliver results. You will ensure features and enhancements are aligned with our client’s key objectives.

  • Develop a thorough grasp of content delivery business use cases and partner requirements. Such use cases cover high-impact areas like monetization/ads, video player support, rights management, and search.
  • Drive the development and ongoing evolution of our new content delivery platform by understanding the complex interdependencies between content systems: CMS, client systems, feeds and API.
  • Manage incoming requirements from stakeholders for feeds and APIs and interpret them in a clear and logical manner for the engineering and ops teams.
  • Work closely with engineering teams as well as various internal stakeholders to plan and coordinate development, pre-launch activities, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Manage a backlog of user stories to deliver features, enhancement and fixes most critical to meeting our business, product and team goals.
  • Create new and enhance existing metrics, dimensions and reports to track progress and effectiveness of the content delivery system.
  • Maintain accountability for your product scope and business KPIs - perform research, provide requirements and ensure delivery while working on critical efforts at a fast pace.
  • Ensure that all new features, enhancements and fixes are evaluated, tested and deployed according to your vision and quality standards.
  • Anticipate conflicting needs, risks and dependencies, including inter-dependencies with other initiatives and product teams, and work proactively to resolve them.
  • Contribute to the vision for our client’s Content Management, how it fits into our digital ecosystem, and an iterative plan to deliver on the roadmap over time.


  • 6+ years of experience in product management, ideally in technology or related field.
  • Experience working within a media company is strongly desired, particularly with experience in managing big data and feed outputs.
  • Knowledge across the landscape of digital streaming media products.
  • The Product Manager must have the ability to
    • Build strong working relationships with engineers, business analysts, designers, stakeholders and other teams across the organization.
    • Comfortable with back out systems and understand them by studying them
    • Confidently lead planned and focused calls/meetings with stakeholders and Engineering and present to large groups of peers.
    • Craft decks, emails and release notes tailored to various audiences.
    • Deal with uncertainty and changes in plans or approach.
    • Simultaneously manage multiple high-profile features or tracks of work.
    • Identify and articulate risks to a project or feature and work with Product leadership on next steps.
    • Negotiate with Engineering over how a feature should be delivered.
    • Successfully function as a Product Owner in the Scrum Team
    • Accommodate meetings with our global peers in other time zones – particularly Europe.
