Job Description

Are you a highly skilled Biostatistician with broad experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry? Are you interested in joining a leading government integrator to support healthcare initiatives? If so, we may have the ideal role for you with our client in Frederick!

Due to federal security contract requirements, applicant must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities of the Biostatistician: 

  • Lead the statistical analysis for pharmaceutical product development
  • Establish analysis and data requirements; design quality assurance methods
  • Write statistical analysis of statements of work to ensure study design power
  • Review clinical statistical analysis plans and determine population size needed
  • Organize statistical results to ensure client specifications are met in reporting

Requirements of the Biostatistician:

  • Master's degree in Math or Statistics; PhD preferred
  • At least 8 years of experience in statistical analysis
  • At least 3 years of experience in biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry, including validation
  • Advanced proficiency with SAS software and traditional and Bayesian statistical methods
  • Experience with databases, statistical software packages, and operating systems
  • Experience with metrics tools, processes, and best practices
  • Excellent communication skills for gathering and presenting test results
  • Effective leadership skills to guide less experienced workers
  • Ability to describe statistical approaches to non-statisticians 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
