Job Description

Assists with the complex analysis, evaluation, and planning needed to achieve the organization’s goals through the development of integrated marketing communications strategies. Initiatives may include identification of marketing communications strategies and/or other programs to address market needs in the most cost effective manner. Promotes enterprise understanding of the key areas in which the company is seeking to create competitive differentiation and establish sustainable competitive advantage in the marketplace.


• Lead the identification and evaluation of marketing communications strategies to meet growth objectives.
• Leverage customer and consumer insights to develop holistic strategies that effectively drive business outcomes and maximize ROI (segmentation, communication preferences, messaging strategy and measurement plans / learnings).
• Facilitate communication and present information to both internal and external stakeholders at all levels, including leadership, to effectively drive programs/initiatives.
• Assist with the identification and assessment of strategic partners to provide innovative and market differentiating capabilities.
• Develop marketing communications strategies and plans for assigned strategic initiatives.
• Organize, optimize and communicate progress towards the completion of overall work portfolio.
• Collaborate on and support cross-functional projects and teams working on broad business strategies and opportunities, acting as a representative of sales and marketing.
• Analyze and monitor relevant industry, regulatory, technology and market-based trends.

Hiring Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years experience in strategic/business development, strategic planning, marketing strategy or product development.
• OR Master’s degree with at least 2 years experience as stated above.
• Candidate must have solid background and experience in marketing communications strategy/planning, as determined by the specific business area’s needs.
• Experience serving as a liaison to business executives, internal and external, and other outside advisors
• Should have some experience related to the management and delivery of programs, projects and work efforts in a portfolio-based environment

3-5 must have requirements
• Marketing communications strategy plan development, actually responsible for driving the creation of marketing communications plans (not just supporting or implementing). Samples would be helpful.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to present information effectively to both internal and external audiences.
• Ability to build relationships with a variety of roles and personalities, manage and deliver on expectations, proactively resolve problems/issues before they escalate, and collaborate with teams across the enterprise. Also the ability to drive consensus with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to meet due dates and effectively manage multiple priorities in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment.

What are the required skills?
• Ability to manage extensive amounts of complex information, connect and interrelate disparate ideas and thoughts, pay attention to detail, and work effectively with varying constituencies
• Ability to effectively handle changing priorities.
• Data experience, especially being able to speak to data stakeholders and experts across the company. Strong interpretation and translation skills – ability to understand technical / expert jargon and business needs and bridge communication gaps in order to deliver on needs to develop the marketing communications strategy and plan.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint.

Hiring Preferences
• Master’s degree preferred, particularly in Business or Health Administration.
• Previous work experience in health insurance or health care industry with multi-faceted knowledge of healthcare delivery systems is strongly preferred
