Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Scrum Master with our industry-leading client in Stamford.

We will accept corp to corp or w2 contractors. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the Scrum Master:

  • Facilitate daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint review and retrospective meetings.
  • Manage the scrum process, remove impediments
  • Gather requirements and develop User Stories and Acceptance Criteria
  • Help the product owner to prioritize the product backlog making it ready for the next sprint while also looking 4-5 sprints down the road
  • Execute on the backlog, making sure that deliverables are on time with quality
  • Build a trusting and safe environment
  • Ensure effective team collaboration and self-organization
  • Ensure the team is focused on business value delivery
  • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and communication
  • Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example

Requirements of the Scrum Master:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English
  • 5+ years of professional work experience as a scrum master for software development teams that were diligently applying Scrum principles, practices and theory
  • Skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency
  • Strong Project Management background and organizational skills
