Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Analyst with our industry-leading client in New York City.

We will accept corp to corp or w2 contractors. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Responsibilities of the Security Analyst:

  • Run log review processes, documents, and Splunk queries against known applications and infrastructure data sources
  • Review results looking for garbage data, badly parsed logs, or possible misconfigurations in log reporting
  • Review available logs
  • Development of Data Dictionaries 
  • Review current tooling to identify incremental monitoring opportunities
  • Produce training documentation and process documentation
  • Recommend and implement approved program improvements
  • Configure pre-installed Splunk universal forwarding agents for forwarding applications data into Splunk

Requirements of the Security Analyst:

  • 2 years experience as a Security Analyst
  • Splunk
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
