We have an exciting opportunity for a Solutions Architect with our industry-leading client in McLean, VA.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.

Responsibilities of the Solutions Architect:

  • Integrates business, information, application, and technology architectures, driving a solution that focuses on the future state of the Navy’s Intermediate and Depot Level Ashore Ship Maintenance Enterprise
  • Leads comprehensive solution design and the development of key artifacts for a portfolio of capabilities leveraging cloud technology, cybersecurity solutions, network infrastructure technology, and software applications
  • Performs business case analysis by considering the technology environment, enterprise specifics, requirements, etc. from a vendor neutral standpoint to determine potential solutions
  • Sets collaboration framework and creates solution prototypes
  • Participates in technology selection and solution development control
  • Provides project management support as required

Requirements of the Solutions Architect:

  • 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud development, Engineering and software architecture design, Business analysis, DevOps, or IT Project and Product Management
  • 5 years of experience in leading teams
  • Knowledge of Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework (FEA), DoDAF, DoD BEA, or other relevant frameworks
  • Knowledge of Defense and Department of Navy Major Information Technology Delivery
  • Broad technical knowledge of various development platforms, languages, scripts in all layers of the technology stack (Java, .Net, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Angular, AngularJS, AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of diverse set of Commercial Software Applications
  • Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to innovate and create strategic solutions in a technically complex enterprise
  • Ability to analyze, codify, and manage Technical, Schedule, and Budget risks
  • Established leadership skills, including ability to lead and facilitate diverse teams and consensus building
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
