Job Description

Our client, a major Educational Publishing Company, is seeking a technical BA who has extensive experience working with API Developers, and conceptually understands API Development.

  • Utilize strong written and verbal skills to produce high-level and detailed business requirements for developers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Communicate complex technical procedures effectively; make integration concepts clear and concise to both technical and business staff.
  • Validate, justify, prioritize, and document business needs around integration solutions.
  • Demonstrate a detailed understanding of APIs, Web Services, and front-end user interfaces
  • Analyze and document technical recommendations providing customer feedback to the development teams.
  • Participate as a member of a cross-functional development team to deliver solutions and create and manage requests and enhancements.
  • Provide regular communication updates to stakeholders and Agile team Product Owners.
  • Perform troubleshooting, analysis, and problem solving as necessary to ensure reliable operations.


  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline
  • Experience in writing detailed acceptance criteria/requirements for APIs, Web Services, and front-end user interfaces
  • Effective at collaborating with team members, other engineering teams, and business partners
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills 
  • Knowledge of Java/JavaScript, HTML (Accessibility)
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL) or NoSQL storage system
  • The ability to work with systems that involve both internal and external integrations with third party applications of varying technologies
  • Self-motivated and a genuine desire to learn new skills
  • Experience with Jira
  • Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
  • Cucumber, BDD, and Gherkin
  • Knowledge of Google Docs/Slides/Sheets, Confluence, and LucidChart
  • Experience running scrum ceremonies, including standup, planning (quarterly / sprint), grooming, retrospective, sprint demo
  • Experience working in the digital education business domain
