Job Description

Responsibilities of the Windows Administrator:

  • Manage daily administration activities for Windows and Virtual Servers
  • Assess and recommend best practices for server hardware and Windows operating system
  • Install, configure, and support new hardware, software, and cloud-based solutions
  • Support change management and incident management processes
  • Develop documentation on new or existing systems

Requirements of the Windows Administrator:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical discipline
  • At least 2 years of experience with:
    • Windows Server Operations environment
    • HP, Dell, and Cisco server hardware
    • DHCP, DNS, and Active Directory management
    • Basic networking technologies and protocols
  • At least 1 year of experience with:
    • Brocade Director or Cisco SAN Switches
    • Netapp, HP 3PAR, XP/P9000 environments
  • Proficiency in VMware or other virtual server technologies
  • Thorough knowledge of information security principles and implementation
  • Experience with monitoring technologies; ability to assess vulnerabilities
  • Ability to develop strategies to remediate and prevent risks
  • Strong documentation skills
